Application deadline: Scholarships Available for Masters in Translational Medicine from UCSF & UC Berkeley Bioengineering
Advances in engineering and biotechnology are transforming healthcare, but ensuring that these technologies meet the healthcare needs of our growing population requires a new way of thinking. With rising healthcare costs, an aging population, and limited access to expensive technologies, new cost reducing technologies developed with an understanding of these issues can provide meaningful improvement to healthcare.
Through this 1-year joint program, academic and health industry specialists from a variety of disciplines - including the basic sciences, engineering, clinical science, business, and public policy - will educate the next generation of leaders, empowering them to develop and implement appropriate solutions that integrate scientific, engineering, health, policy and economic data perspectives. This degree culminates in a project where students participate in design challenges aimed at solving real-world health problems.
Application deadline: January 24, 2011
