Bionutrition Research: Training Site For Nutrition Students

The CTSI Clinical Research Services (CRS) is a research-training site for dietetic interns, graduate nutrition students, and post-doctoral individuals interested in human nutrition research. Dietetic interns spend one week at the CRS where they observe the functions of the CRS, plan research diets, perform nutritional assessments, and review the nutritional aspects of research protocols. Graduate nutrition students and post-doctoral individuals from the University of California, Berkeley Nutritional Sciences department may use the CRS to complete their clinical nutrition research projects. The bionutritionists assist in implementing these research protocols.

Nursing Research: Training Site for Nursing Students

The CTSI Clinical Research Services (CRS) is a research-training site for nursing students who wish to advance their clinical research nursing knowledge as well as guide improvements in health services and patient care. Nurses learn to develop and design nursing procedures for research protocols in conjunction with clinical staff and researchers. They assume direct and continuing responsibility for the nursing care of research patients and develop analytical abilities necessary to successfully identify clinical and research problems.
